Thanks to your generous support, we were able to go beyond our core mission to meet an urgent need.
While our primary focus remains feeding, clothing, and educating children, we could not ignore the crisis that unfolded at Blessings Nursery & Primary School in October 2023. Large eucalyptus trees fell on the school’s main building. Thankfully, with no children present in the structure and it was completely destroyed. Further inspection revealed that the remaining schoolhouses were also in critical condition.
Recognizing the urgent need, the American Friends of the Father Bash Foundation, Inc. stepped in. With your support, we funded the full reconstruction of the school, resulting in three new classroom blocks, nine fully equipped classrooms, and a dedicated teachers’ office completed in 2024 - 2025. Together, we created a safe and lasting space for learning.

The following photos document the complete step-by-step rebuilding of Blessings Nursery & Primary School. They also highlight the thousands of handmade bricks laid by dedicated workers. The final bricks were set in 2025, paving the way for students to enjoy their beautiful new courtyard.
While not all the children are orphans, many return to their villages. Most of their homes are huts with mud floors. The transformation of their school has become much more meaningful. We’re told that this inspiring environment gives them a strong desire to learn. Children are proud to attend one of the newest and best schools in the area.
